WW - Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date, "President," ref 18139, circa 1986, 36mm x 44mm to lug tips, 20mm lug width, original 18K white gold screw back Oyster case with factory set diamond case and bezel, 68 round brilliant cut diamonds weigh an estimated 0.75 ctw, 18K white gold President bracelet with hidden clasp, factory silver dial with applied white gold diamond indices, two inset apertures for day at 12 and date at 3, single QS, 27J cal 3055, s#8986264, triple signed with signed clasp, bracelet ref 8385 with 55 stamped end links, inside back ref 18000. Head and bracelet combined length is just over 7.5 inches; bracelet with 6 links showing screw heads. This watch originally left the factory as a Tridor model; during its life the Tridor bracelet has been changed for a solid white gold bracelet and the dial (likely originally champagne) was swapped out for a silver dial. The factory diamond bezel marked "Rolex" was rhodium-plated as the "Rolex" name should be in yellow. Gross weight of assembled watch 95.5 dwt (148.5 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, no oxide, very light fine scratches to plates; excellent-plus dial, luminous plots have lightly deteriorated; nearly mint hands; unpolished case shows hardly any wear, retains all of its original factory finishing, when bezel was remounted after rhodium plating it wasn't centered perfectly; bracelet shows hardly any wear, very little stretch, retains all of its original factory finishing; original signed crown shows very little wear, good threads; excellent sapphire crystal; resealed for auction.
